Challenges
of food processing
Food processing plants (e.g. milk processing plants and their industrial wastewater treatment plants, plants for the production of animal feed, fish processing or juice production) and their exhaust air problems are as diverse as our food. These are mostly organic and chemical substances that have an intense, sometimes very aromatic odour. As each of these plants has different characteristics, odour elimination is a particular challenge. This requires special technologies and strategies.
Our solution
Various types of exhaust air purification systems can be used. These include biological systems such as biofilters, biotrickling filters as well as chemical scrubbers and activated carbon filters. A combination of technologies is also possible. The choice of system depends on the site conditions (space, desired cleaning efficiency) and the impurities in the exhaust air. We will be happy to advise you!
Every cleaning task is unique. That’s why we take the utmost care to clarify your specific requirements and parameters in order to find the most space-saving, favourable and economical solution.
Our processes in project management, production, service and assembly are certified. We select our suppliers carefully and focus on long-term partnerships. This enables us to guarantee the reliable and high quality of our system as well as the purchased parts and external services.
We provide you with expert advice and support throughout the entire project. From checking the functionality and assessing the overall system to regular maintenance – we ensure that your system always runs optimally.
We manufacture our products from GRP. Glass fibre reinforced plastics (GRP) are made from reinforcing materials (glass fibre mats, fabrics, etc.) that are impregnated with various resins and chemical additives. This has many advantages: low weight with high resistance, non-porous and easy-to-clean surfaces, good thermal insulation values and low thermal expansion.
The optimisation of production processes, the use of energy-efficient machines and systems and the implementation of intelligent control and monitoring systems can significantly reduce energy costs. The economical use of resources such as water, raw materials and packaging materials also helps to conserve resources and reduce environmental pollution. We attach great importance to this, both in our own production and in the planning of your systems.

Production plant for animal feed in Poland
An air flow of approx. 10,000 m3/h had to be cleaned in a plant for the production of animal feed near Wroclaw. Due to the high air temperature, a counterflow scrubber was developed to reduce the temperature and capture solid particles entrained in the production process. The air then passes through the biofilter to reduce odours. The biofilter has a surface area of 72 m2 and is covered; the air enters a 12 m2 chimney.
Milk production plant in Poland
The air from the dairy’s wastewater treatment plant is fed into our biofilter with a capacity of 1,200 m3/h. The biofilter can be extended with a chemical dosing system for the pre-scrubber. The biofilter can be extended with a chemical dosing system for the pre-washer. A pH measurement is used to constantly check the need for dosing.
Fish processing in Poland
For this project, we provided a countercurrent scrubber with a capacity of 8,000 m3/h to reduce the high concentration of ammonia and amines produced during salmon processing.
